During her seven-month stay in Lechería, Venezuela, Claudia Ahrens' daily walk along Playa Lido became a small ritual. She repeatedly encountered the statue of theVirgen del Valle,a silent, powerful guardian amidst palm trees, sand, and sea.Her serenity and strength inspired the artist to create this work: a vividly colored portrait of feminine energy, rendered in her characteristic comic-book style.
