In this vibrant work, artist Claudia Ahrens depicts two bright yellow and blue parrots perched high above Caracas on a railing, gazing attentively over the bustling metropolis. Behind them rise the lush green slopes of the Avila Mountains, forming a striking contrast to the urban scene.

During her seven-month stay in Venezuela in 2024, Ahrens was particularly fascinated by the free-roaming parrots that circled the metropolis daily. For her, their vibrant colors symbolized Venezuela's rich culture, its lively music, the country's diversity, and the warmheartedness of its people. These impressions flowed into her work and are reflected in its energetic, colorful comic style.
