Bocas del Toro – Panama

During a trip through Panama, the artist encountered a unique sense of lightness in Bocas del Toro. A place where life is shaped by the water and seemingly everything moves closer to nature.

She was particularly fascinated by the colorful wooden houses, the intense turquoise of the water, the mangroves, the tropical nature, the music, and the vibrant culture. This interplay resulted in an entire series of works.

In her work, she deliberately approaches these impressions from an almost childlike perspective: she simplifies shapes, reduces details, and highlights individual elements that, for her, define the character of this place. Thus, it is not a realistic depiction, but a personal memory in color and form.
